If you’re attached to money, you’ll spend your life chasing it, or running away from it.
As a spiritual person, you may easily agree that it’s wrong to ‘chase’ money. But what does ‘running away’ from it mean?
This is a much more subtle, sinister form of attachment to money.
Someone who’s attached to money and chases it imagines that having money can cause them all kinds of positive feelings… which is why they chase it.
Someone who’s attached to money and runs away from it imagines that money causes all kinds of negative feelings… which is why they run from it.
This 2nd type of person is just as attached to money as the 1st type, they just express their attachment differently.
They might have the façade of being more spiritual or religious, but when it comes down to it, they really struggle with their finances, and blame this struggle on the ‘evil’ of money, not realizing that they’re using the power of imagination to blame their (negative) feelings on money… or lack of it.
As far as I can tell, when we’re attached to money, whether we have a lot or a little, we struggle financially.
When we’re detached from money, whether we have a lot or a little, we experience ease, flow & gratitude financially.
Our aim is to have money in our hands, but only Presence in our hearts.
